Sexually Transmitted Infections Testing

Although most infections have no symptoms, some do, and warning signs might be:

  • Pain when you pee
  • Unusual discharge from your vagina or penis
  • Rashes or sores around your vagina or penis

If you have had sex without a condom, it is important to get a test, even if you have no symptoms. STIs can damage your health and may affect your ability to have children in future. Most STIs are easily treated.

Chlamydia is the most common STI amongst young people under 25. It is easy to check if you are infected or not. Phone 0845 180 0050 to find where to get a free confidential screening kit or enter your details below.

The self testing kits are also available in lots of youth centres, schools, Connexions centres, doctors and pharmacies.
